A complete picture for the new student and for the traveler to Italy

by Pasquale Iannitti (Ottawa, Canada)
May 20, 2008

I have been teaching an Italian course for beginners who want to visit Italy for the first time. Buongiorno Italy has tons of useful information in preparing for the trip and for when you get there. The most interesting and useful parts of the book, from a teaching perspective, are the "role play" conversations in Italian between Marco and Laura. The side-by-side Italian-English format is an excellent way to introduce the students to practical information on how to get around Italy, in train stations, on the road and in restaurants and shopping malls. The useful phrases and the Italian-English dictionary combine to create a complete picture for the new student and for the traveler to Italy.

Dear Mr. Marchesi,
you and Luisa Castelli did a great job in compiling the information in the "Buongiorno Italy" travel giude. We are giving the book, as a Christmas gift, to family and friends who are planning a trip to Italy in the future.
